We’ve been using on-line meetings internally for a year or so now and found them really very useful. More recently we’ve extended their use to client meetings – initially for reviews and now increasingly for the whole advice process.
The system we have found works best is to share a desktop over the internet alongside a telephone call. This may appear cumbersome but with most broadband connections the delay on audio streaming (i.e. the delay between you talking and us hearing you) is long enough to create confusion. Similar technological limitations mean that we also tend not to use video – but we’re happy to if you’d like to see who you’re dealing with!
There are many advantages to on-line meetings over either a telephone conversation or a face-to-face meeting:
